1、通过观看录像,引起学生对道路上行人车辆、红绿灯变化及交通指示牌的注意。
2、帮助学生回忆已经学过并与课本内容相关的单词。让学生show pictures of traffic lights and colour。
三、While—task procedure
1、Ask pupils to follow the instructions: Cross! Don’t cross! Stop! Wait! Go! Ask pupils to look at the picture and give the directions by themselves.
2、Ask one pupil to give instrucitions and make the others act.
3、 Ask pupils to guess the colour of the light according to the actions,and use the following patterns: There’s the red man。 There’s the green man 。
4、Activity: Ask pupils to make a dialogue in pairs with the different traffic light。
四、Post-task activity
1、Ask pupils to watch VCD again ,and then describe it by using thr new sentences.
2、Group work with the given situation.
五、Homework
1、 Copy the new words.
2、 Write down the short dialogue.
